Join us and speaker Jeannine Pohl (recent ARISE Graduate) in discussion on her personal project, "Thank You For Telling Me That" a portrait series giving voice to survivors of childhood sexual abuse and reframing how we think about keeping kids safe as 1 in 4 girls and 1 and 6 boys will experience abuse by the time they are 18. She speaks to building awareness, talking to children at any age with appropriate information, and being a safe space for others. Part personal story, part social impact work. 

Jeannine is the photographer/owner of Block Portrait Studios in Saint Paul, where she's spent the last eleven years creating visual affirmations for families and businesses. For families, this has meant portrait artwork for clients' homes; for businesses, it has a creative curation of professional visual assets. She also owns Jeannine Marie Photography since 2006, documenting couples' wedding days, corporate meetings, and fundraising events.
